S3RUS' business objectives are to integrate optimization technologies in airline planning and operations, innovate and lead technological advances, while exceeding customer expectations.

Established in January 2003 by founder and head of S3RUS, Dr. Ranga Anbil, S3RUS leverages technology and airline domain expertise to create innovative and industry leading solutions for airline aircraft and crew scheduling.

With years of leading teams at IBM Research, Sabre Technologies, and Caleb Technologies (now Navataire), Dr. Anbil founded S3RUS in 2003 to provide the industry with the preeminent pairing optimizer. The focus of his remarkable operational research science expertize has been in the airline industry.

Starting in the airline industry in 1985, Mike has divided his time between airline software providers (Bornemann Associates/Sabre, Caleb Technologies), and airlines (WestAir/Mesa, Morris, AirTran). He joined Ranga in March 2010 to bring his considerable perspective and skill to S3RUS.

Steve holds a Masters Degree from Georgia Tech in Operations Research and is an expert in optimization technologies.  He has over 16 years of experience in the airline industry for three different airlines and has worked in a number of areas including Schedule Planning, Fleet Assignment, Crew Pairing Optimization and Airport Operations.  He also has several years of experience applying optimization technologies in the supply chain, defense and petroleum industries. 

John Culverwell:

John Culverwell has a Bachelor’s Degree from Westminster College of Salt Lake City in Aviation Operations Management.  He has over 20 years of airline crew planning and man-power planning experience working for three airlines, most recently with Horizon Air after working for 15 years as their Manager of Crew Planning.
